How do I patch a pool liner underwater?
Before starting, wipe the pool liner clean to make sure it is clear of any debris. Apply HH-66 to one side of the patch. Do this while above the water line. Then, loosely fold the patch with the glue on the inside while it is slightly tacky. This will protect the HH-66 from too much exposure to the water. Next, center the patch over the rip, covering all torn edges. Finally, unfold the patch and press it firmly onto the pool liner.
How do I patch a pool liner above the water line?
Before starting, wipe the pool liner clean to make sure it is clear of any debris. Apply HH-66 Vinyl Cement evenly to both surfaces to be joined and allow the adhesive to set until tacky (generally within a couple of minutes). With your fingers, apply the patch from the center to the edges to remove any air bubbles until the patch is smooth. Hold the patch firmly in place for one minute.
How long does HH-66 take to set?
HH-66 will become tacky enough to bond in around two minutes. The bond will be set and strong enough to use in about an hour, but the bond will reach full strength after around 24 hours.
How long does a pool liner patch last?
The longevity of a pool liner patch can vary based on the application and the conditions the patch will experience. If all the steps are followed in optimum conditions, a pool liner patch can last anywhere from several seasons up to the lifetime of the pool.
What size damaged area can the Vinyl Pool Liner Repair Kit fix?
