Your truck’s tarps are an investment. But rips happen.
And the longer it goes unattended, the worse a rip in your tarp can get.
HH-66 is the most widely recommended adhesive for tarp repair. Whether your truck’s in the shop or at a stop, it only takes 5 minutes to repair a tear for good.
1. Prepare
- Cut patch to appropriate size, ensuring a two-inch overlap on all sides.
- Round corners to minimize peeling.
- Clean surfaces with HH-66 Thinner.
- Sand any glossy surfaces lightly for the best adhesion.
2. Apply
- Use the applicator brush to apply an even, edge-to-edge coat of HH-66 Vinyl Cement to both surfaces to be joined.
- Allow cement to set until tacky, typically around 2 minutes. Cement will remain tacky for just a few minutes.
3. Attach
- Press patch on tarp firmly while tacky.
- Apply even pressure throughout to remove air bubbles.
- Allow to bond for at least an hour before use. Strongest hold achieved after one day.
- Remove any excess adhesive with HH-66 Thinner.
