How to repair your vinyl hot tub cover with

HH-66 Vinyl Cement

Ripped spa covers are a cinch to patch with the world’s best PVC adhesive.

If your vinyl spa or hot tub cover has a rip, your tub’s not getting the protection it requires.

New spa covers are expensive – but with a simple vinyl patch and a tube of HH-66, you can make the repairs you need yourself.

HH-66 is the industry’s leading PVC vinyl adhesive. Here’s how to use it to patch your hot tub cover in just a few minutes.

Repairing a vinyl hot tub cover with HH-66

Prepare

  • Measure two inches on all sides of the damaged area, and cut the vinyl patch to fit.  Round the corners to minimize peeling.
  • Use HH-66 Thinner to clean both the vinyl patch and the damaged area.

Apply

  • Coat one side of the patch and the entire damaged area of the hot tub cover with HH-66.
  • Allow the cement to set until tacky, typically around two or three minutes.  The cement will remain tacky for just a few minutes.

Attach

  • Press the patch firmly on the hot tub cover while the cement is tacky.  Apply even pressure throughout to remove air bubbles.
  • Allow to bond for at least an hour.  The strongest hold is achieved after one day.
